Queen Victoria Key and Duty Plate Issues
In 1863 the Bahamas authorities passed a request to the Agents-General for the Crown Colonies
for a new l/- value, to be printed in green. De La Rue proposed a design modelled on the
original Wyon Medal, and their celebrated engraver Jean Joubert de la Ferte engraved the die.
