  • 1632 - The English settled on Antigua
  • 1850 - Crowned Circle postmark used
  • 1858-1860 - Stamps of Great Britain used with A02 handstamp
  • 1860 - Post Office control changed from GHB PO to Colonial Government
  • 1862 - First Antigua adhesive stamp issued
  • 1890 to 1903 - Leeward Islands general issues used
  • 1903 - Antigua's own designs issued again (Leewards general designs could still be used until 1956)
  • 1951 - Currency changed from Sterling to West Indian (Later Eastern Caribbean) dollar
  • 1960 - Ministerial Government
  • 1981 - Independence
  • 1981 - Adhesive stamps inscribed "Antigua & Barbuda"
